Summer Youth Volleyball
- GENERAL LEAGUE GUIDELINES
This league will have a short season, but still be a fun league to give young girls an opportunity to grow in the sport as well as give the younger girls an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of volleyball. - Practices/games will be played on Thursday nights at the Martinsville YMCA during the times of 5:00-9:00 p.m. The net for the middle school age group will be set to the official height. The net for the younger age group will be set slightly lower.
- We will not have referees for this league (as it is mentioned above it will be more of a fun league). Team coaches/volunteers will work together to keep score of the games when they occur.
- Due to small areas allowed for seating, spectators at practices and games will be limited! More information on this policy will be given during the season.
- A $10 registration fee and a copy of the participant’s birth certificate MUST be turned in with the registration form before the registration deadline.
- Practices will take place June 6, 13, 20 & 27. Games will take place July 11, 18, 25 & August 1. (4 practice days and 4 game days).
- Parents/guardians are responsible for their child’s transportation to and from practices and games. Players will not be assigned to a specific team for ride arrangements.
- This league is provided for the children to have fun, learn athletic and life skills and have social interaction. As a parent/guardian, you will be expected to behave in an appropriate manner at all practices and games. Parents/guardians who behave in an inappropriate manner will cause their child to be dismissed from the league.
- Teams for participants cannot be formed without coaches. If you would like to coach or know someone who would, please fill out the information for coaching on the registration form or contact our sports director through the information below.
